In anti-corrosion materials, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) possesses unparalleled excellent properties. In addition to its outstanding chemical stability, it has good anti-fouling and anti-slip characteristics, an extremely low dynamic friction coefficient, and excellent lubrication and moisture retention performance. It can be used as a sealing component for valve switches to reduce friction between sealing surfaces, lower the operating torque of the valve, extend the product's service life, and expand its application range to the food and pharmaceutical industries. Below is an introduction on how to extend the service life of fluorine-lined valves.
In anti-corrosion materials, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) has excellent properties, including outstanding chemical stability, anti-fouling, good anti-slip, low dynamic friction coefficient, and good lubrication and moisture resistance. It can be used as a sealing pair for valve switches to reduce friction between sealing surfaces, lower the operating torque of the valve, extend the product's service life, and expand its application range to the food and pharmaceutical industries. Below is an introduction on how to extend fluorine-lined valves service life.
fluorine-lined valves Also known as anti-corrosion valves, they have always operated under harsh conditions. They do not contain toxic or harmful chemicals but involve strongly corrosive acids, alkalis, or organic solvents. Improper use can cause serious economic losses and severe consequences.
Suitable for different media: various concentrations of acids, alkalis, salts, and some organic solvents.
Features: Currently the world's ideal anti-corrosion material, widely used as lining for large and medium-sized equipment and pipeline materials in rotational molding.
Proper use and maintenance of valves can extend the life of fluorine valves. How to effectively protect them?
1. Please carefully read the operating instructions of the fluorine valve before use.
2. Use within the pressure, temperature, and media range specified on the nameplate or manual.
3. During use, try to minimize continuous changes in ambient temperature, and add U-shaped expansion joints before and after the valve to prevent excessive pipeline stress caused by temperature changes in fluorine-lined valves.
4. It is forbidden to use tie rods to open or close fluorine-lined valves. The opening and closing of fluorine-lined valves can be indicated by different positions and limit protection devices. Do not forcibly close the valve after operation to avoid premature damage to the fluororesin sealing surface.
5. For some unstable media that decompose partially (such as partial decomposition causing volume expansion and inability to normally increase working pressure), which may cause valve damage or media leakage, measures should be taken to eliminate or limit the factors causing valve issues. Consider unstable media that easily decompose due to operational changes and choose fluorine valves with automatic pressure relief devices.
6. It is strictly forbidden to replace packing on fluorine valves in pipelines containing toxic, flammable, explosive, or corrosive media under pressure. Fluorine valves are designed for sealing functions, but it is not recommended to replace seals under pressure.
7. For pipelines containing self-igniting media, measures should be taken to prevent ambient and working temperatures from exceeding the media's autoignition point to avoid dangers caused by sunlight exposure and external fires.
Can changing the valve structure improve fluorine-lined valves service life?
By changing the structure of fluorine-lined valves or selecting valves with longer service life, such as multi-stage valves, anti-cavitation valves, and anti-corrosion valves.
Methods to reduce stroke and extend diaphragm service life
In these two types of control valves, the diaphragm rapidly ruptures at very high operating frequencies during up and down folding, with rupture always occurring at the periphery of the tray.
The above introduces how to extend the service life of fluorine-lined valves. For more information, feel free to contact us! Our company has many years of experience and looks forward to your joining at any time.
