According to the different connection methods between the instrument valve and other pipe fittings, it can be divided into threaded connection instrument valve, flange connection instrument valve, welded connection instrument valve, clamp connection instrument valve, clamp connection instrument valve, and butt clamp connection instrument valve.
According to the materials used in manufacturing : metal materials, non-metallic material instrument valves, and metal valve body lined instrument valves.
There are many types of instrument valves, and there may be other classifications, but they still apply to gate valves, throttle valves, ball valves, butterfly valves, diaphragm valves, plunger valves, plug valves, check valves, safety valves, pressure reducing valves, steam trap valves, etc., used in industrial pipelines.

Regulators using analog signals are also called analog instrument valves. They determine the deviation between the analog measurement value of the controlled object's parameter and the set value, and generate an analog output signal according to a certain regulation rule to drive the actuator to eliminate the deviation, keeping the controlled parameter near the set value or changing according to a predetermined rule. In automatic instruments, instrument valves are often used to synthesize the output signals of detection instruments to control the production process. The adjusted parameters include temperature, pressure, flow, liquid level, composition, etc.
