Valves are essential for many pipelines, and the performance of valves affects the transportation within the pipelines. However, besides the high sealing requirements, valves also demand high operational flexibility. Therefore, many valves are continuously improved and updated, with old and outdated valves gradually being replaced by better designs. The bellows globe valve is a better design compared to the ordinary globe valve. So, what are the differences between the bellows globe valve and the ordinary globe valve? Valves are essential for many pipelines, and the performance of valves affects the transportation within the pipelines. The bellows globe valve is a better design compared to the ordinary globe valve. So, what are the differences between bellows globe valves and ordinary globe valves? What are the advantages of bellows globe valves? Next Let us introduce to you a bit

Bellows Globe Valve Compared to Ordinary Globe Valve

  1. Bellows Globe Valve No leakage, safe to use with high-risk media.

   2. Ordinary globe valves use packing seals; the valve stem and packing slide against each other, which can easily cause leakage at low temperatures (valve core).

   3. Bellows globe valves use a stretchable and compressible closed bellows instead of packing seals, effectively preventing leakage caused by packing loss. They are generally used for transporting highly permeable media, such as valves in hydrogen systems. As long as the bellows is not damaged, leakage generally does not occur; however, ordinary globe valves use packing seals and are prone to leakage.

   4. The valve stem's opening or closing stroke is relatively short, providing very reliable shut-off functionality. Because the valve seat opening changes proportionally with the valve disc stroke, it is very suitable for flow regulation. Therefore, this type of valve is very suitable for shut-off, regulation, and throttling.

   Bellows Globe Valve Advantages

   1. Double sealing design (bellows and packing). If the bellows fails, the valve stem packing prevents leakage, meeting international sealing standards.

   2. No liquid loss, reducing energy loss and improving plant equipment safety.

   3. Long service life, reducing maintenance time and operating costs.

   4. Robust bellows seal design ensures zero leakage of the valve stem and provides maintenance-free conditions.

   5. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) soft sealing material is used for valve seats in gas media to improve valve sealing performance.

   6. High temperature resistance up to 425°C. Valve seats use conical hard sealing, achieving airtightness and zero leakage.

With rising labor costs, more and more companies hope to reduce labor. With this bellows globe valve, workers can open and close more easily. Products with longer service life and better sealing performance have good prospects.

Above, the editor briefly introduced the differences between bellows globe valves and ordinary globe valves and the advantages of bellows globe valves. We can see that the updates of many products or tools are not only about improvements and breakthroughs in key technologies but also about design details in craftsmanship. Therefore, bellows globe valves have many advantages compared to ordinary globe valves. If consumers want to purchase valves, it is recommended to buy bellows globe valves.
